Busy home-schooling mom, and wife, I am devoted to God, my husband, my children, and the wonderful friends the Lord has blessed me with. Located west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I enjoy all sorts of crafting, baking, and giving to others in any way I can.
THE STORY BEHIND BBD:
I wanted to find a way to help our local community and having experience in card making and many other crafts, I couldn't think of the one thing that I really wanted to do. I wanted something new, something fairly unique, and something I really enjoyed doing. I had to think of 2 material things I love the most: candles, and jewelry. I was focusing more on candles but I'm the type of person that likes simple things, with quick results, and candle making seemed so involved, with a lot of experimentation and time involved. There was no way I could compete with Yankee Candle Company - even though I wanted to. ;)
Believe it or not, this all started from a $10.00 bead kit from Walmart complete with everything needed to complete 3 necklaces, 2 bracelets, and 3 sets of earrings. I had never in my life done beadwork before so this seemed interesting. I didn't have much hope for it, but thought I would give it a try.
Ok....here we go (holding breath)...this was my first attempt at beading....
Within a couple hours, I had all the pieces made and I was HOOKED (no pun intended)! My creative juices started flowing and I immediately (that same night) headed out to get some more beads and supplies! I started making MY OWN line of simple, shiny, beautiful jewelry that suited my own personal taste.
What I like best about my creations are that they are timeless, simple, elegant, and I stand by my quality of workmanship. I stand by it so much, I offer FREE REPAIR for any piece I make.
