What is a floating necklace?
A floating necklace is made with a clear plastic wire - much like fishing line, that from a small distance away makes any pendant, charm, gemstone, or bead work appear to be "floating" since the line cannot be seen. These were a big seller in the mid to late 90's where top diamond selling jewelers were selling these with a solitary diamond and gold bead pendant. These types of necklaces are durable, unique and easy to repair.
